Petrified Nautilus

setting the stage for a painting I've been working up the courage to do. maybe I'm playing the elements a bit on the safe side but I'm thinking of some above-water skirmish happening in the background. below the surface is a petrified nautilus graveyard. maybe some kinda hallowed ground. the warriors in the foreground will be some crabby guys i've been sketching as of late. more to come!
